Tourism Video

Using Video to tell your travel-related business story can be one of the most effective ways of getting your point across and sharing the benefits you offer with your ideal client.
Wendy Macrimmon, our former guest-relations specialist at Northern Edge Algonquin has found out first hand how a well-crafted video can lead to greater credibility and help turn prospects into buyers and grow business.

Wendy – on what it’s like to work with Blue Canoe Video

It’s not enough to just grab your video camera and start shooting and uploading to Youtube. A well crafted video takes special skills that likely don’t exist within your organization. That’s why we’ve started working with tourism businesses and destination marketing organizations to create short promotional videos – video business cards (like Wendy’s above) that can be posted to Flickr, Youtube, Facebook, Blogs and even embedded in your Website. It is the perfect way to introduce your tourism business to a new prospect.

Email bluecanoevideo@gmail.com, complete the contact us form or give us a call toll free at 888 383-8320 and speak with Topher Earl or Emily Lucier about crafting a powerful video that gets your tourism message across in less than two minutes.

We even work with DMO’s, CVB’s and Cities.  See the short promo for the town of South River, our home.

Could your town use a little video promotion?

  • I just did the exact same thing with a client this morning - walking thru how to manage the brand new Wordpress blog - using Skype. Love it!
  • Thanks Darren,
I believe corporate brands have a place, I just don't think it's on tools like Twitter. I have to admit, I get a kick out of your avatar and appreciate your online brand, but I still believe most organizations will reap more benefits by team members using their real name and using #hashtags if they really want to brand a post. I'm going to write a more complete post about this in the coming week.
    cheers,
    t.
  • Todd,

I think you make a good point about using your name, but, if you are wanting to build your brand then, using your brand name is a good way to raise awareness in social media.

I remember someone saying to me a few weeks ago "everywhere I go online I see your 'ranting man' and your username 'travelrants' as soon as I see that I know it's you Darren"

In recent months I have seen more and more people searching for 'travel rants' in Google, and I am putting this down to promoting my brand on social media.

  • I am crazy about this technology! Are you recording on your iPhone!?
I am shocked by this ability! And linked to Twitter!
