Google Documents are the easiest way to collaborate on projects. Lee Lefeever cleverly describes the benefits of using http://documents.google.com with his review of Google Docs “In Plain English”.
I’ve used Google Docs since it was called Writely, prior to being purchased by Google. Since that time, Google has added spreadsheets and presentation (powerpoint-like) tools to create a shared workspace in the Internet Cloud. See how cloud computing with Google Docs could help you be more productive with your team.
We first used collaborative Internet document editing at a co-located Tourism Keys Cluster Workshop in St. John’s NFLD and in Cornerbrook NFLD, where workshop attendees co-edited their workshop meeting notes while hundreds of miles apart in real time. We’ll be using Google Docs again in upcoming Cluster workshop in October on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada.
In our own business, Northern Edge Algonquin, we use Google docs to get guest feedback, and share a variety of private documents, co-edited between our office staff, co-operating partners, and nature retreat staff.
