Excellent points, Todd. I think many people are unaware that a regularly updated blog can easily be more effective than a "billboard website."

Great post! The era of one-way conversations (marketer to audience) has gone. It's got to be two way now. The blog is the perfect platform to build up conversations, as well as communicate interesting / useful / relevant info. to your audience.

In the long-term it attracts loyal customers through subscriptions / word of mouth; helps create / strengthen brand presence; SEM, and more.

Hey Claudia, thanks for engaging in the conversation. That was a great post by @chrisbrogan and got many people to understand the value of commenting. Lately, I've spent more time commenting on other people's content than writing my own stuff.
It's inspiring to see how other people's ideas stimulate my own creativity and lead to new insights.

Hi,

Just discovered your blog after having seen Chris Brogan's call to comment (on Twitter)!
So, I decided to do my homework and the first site I visited is yours.
And I am very glad I did! It's incredible, because I've been active in the same business as you, exactly the same: teaching e-marketing to tourism professionals, explaining same things you mention. Seing the evolution of their communication opportunities thanks to web 2.0 tools, etc... Pretty funny (I am in Switzerland). But here I still haven't seen any website dynamical in that way. It is a miracle when a site is well optimized, in an SEO perspective.

I really appreciated reading your articles, that I found thorough and full of practical, ready-to-use advice.

I retweeted and saved it on Delicious, like 10 other people :-)

Thank you, and I'll follow you!
