Beginner-friendly step-by-step instructions for hosting and using a wordpress.com blog at your www.mywebsite.com

I’ve met thousands of tourism operators and tourism board representatives over the past five years helping them sort out their Internet marketing strategy. For most tourism businesses, the best web site is a blog because it’s current, relevant, keyword-friendly, and easy to manage. These free pdf documents provide step-by-step instructions for using WordPress.com to create your own website from scratch. Have your own wordpress website and change or add content any time, for just $12 / year. These concise helpful books provide screen shots that show you where to click and what to do, every step of the way.

  • thanks for your free ebook...
  • Hi Paul,
You could host a blog on it's own domain or on your existing site under a new folder.... ie: hillsdalehouseinn.ca/blog

To do it this way, you need to install wordpress from http://www.wordpress.org on your web server - a bit more effort.

I might suggest removing the pointing domain on one of these domains and set it up to host your blog. We host our blog on its own domain at http://www.algonquincanada.com while keeping our website at http://www.northernedgealgonqu...

btw, many people reading this comment may wonder about how to receive this content by email. It's easy, just put your email address in the box at right and click subscribe.... you'll get each post by email.
  • I was just looking at your latest email regarding Wordpress setup. Quick question – given that we already have our business website should we somehow link or associate our blog with this website when setting it up, i.e. we already have the domains hillsdalehouseinn.ca and hillsdalehouseinn.com registered and pointing to eachother.
