
Google has started crawling user-designed maps and delivers points of interest from user-generated maps along with Google’s own database of businesses and points of interest (blue icons above). Anyone can add items using Google’s MyMaps feature. Users can embed photos, videos, hyperlinks to their Web site and more using the simple drag-and-drop tools.
To get started, get a free Google account at Gmail.com.
