“OMG…. this place has amazing morning treasures. I had the Sunburst Muffin and Granola with blueberries and yogurt with my java…. killer good. Also don’t miss the oatmeal patties…. too good to be true, crammed with seads, nuts, honey ….. mmmmmm. Can’t wait to go back”
Some businesses, like an excellent coffee shop we visited yesterday in Halifax, Nova Scotia don’t even have a Web site. Nevertheless, their web presence is critical to their business success. After visiting Steve-O-Reno’s we were so impressed we had to take the time to share our experience online. In a few short minutes I was able to give advice to a family planning a trip to Halifax this summer on Frommers.com and then copy the 5 Star review to:
- two restaurant review sites,
- the NY Times Halifax Travel Guide
- a flickr photo library on Steve O Reno’s
- a google map listing for the coffee shop
- an email to a friend who will be visiting Halifax next week
- my facebook page
- and this Blog!
What do you want your savvy ideal guests to say about your business? Where do you want them to say it? What are you doing to encourage them to take these actions? Steve O Reno’s has a frequent visitor card that rewards coffee drinkers who visit frequently. I wonder what kind of rewards would encourage people sharing their positive reviews of your business online.
