Make your Web Page Easy to Print

When I print my Web page, it doesn’t look right. How can I fix this?

A well designed Web page is designed for the computer screen, not your printer. Occasionally, your ideal guest may wish to print your web page for future reference or to share with family and friends and if you page doesn’t print nicely, you may be losing business.

I recommend that you create printable pdf versions of material your web site visitor may want to print. I like having a call to action that says to my ideal guest, “Print this pdf” which contains useful information. The really nice thing is it puts my content on their desktop!

There are some handy tools I’ve written about before for the easiest way to create pdf documents from text , but the nifty site below provides a free tool that enables you to create a pdf and a call to action by placing a button right on your blog or web site.

The result is that your web page is formatted for printing and downloaded to the web site visitor’s computer all at once! Give it a try and make your Web page easy to print.
